Was wondering what year Explorer lighted sun visors would work in my 08 Ranger & how to wire them up?

up to 01 should work. some are two wire setup, others are one. if you get the two wire, they are a power and ground. if you get the one wire setup, you will need to add a ground to one of the mounting screws to the metal roof support. they ground through the screws into the roof, but the ranger uses little plastic inserts and the explorer's don't.

 

I found the set I purchased was a little wider than the Ranger Visors being replaced.
They fit while up but when flipped down to block the sun they interfere with the side handle.
Not sure of the year Explorer they came out of but it is something to watch.

the electrics is one wire if they give me trouble an extra ground wire will have to be added to start.
I will be setting these up to run only when the key is in the run or accessory positions.
