I was thinking of putting in a full center console in my truck but mine is a 5 spd. what all goes into doing a full center console and if possible can you put up pix of what it looks like installed

From what I've found online you have to make an adapter bracket to move the linkage shifter a few inches to the left. The ranger tcase is too close to the transmission shift so it doesn't fit right.

 

i have a full length console but i have not put it in yet... will it work with my 5speed and a body lift?

Also what year Explorer do they come out of?

Gen 2 Explorers (95~01). $25~100. Difficult/expensive to ship so might be better to get from a local yard than on eBay.

 

Remove the lid from one and buy it without the lid to drop the price a lot. Then separately find a lid that has the leather on top looking like ****. Buy it for nothing. "re-leather" the lid(easy to do) and bolt it on.
