when i did mine it was kinda a oain cause i didnt know how to get it off. i took every pannel off that i could and it sill wouldnt come out. went back after finding out how to take it out and got it. then i left the big metal piece caue i didnt think i needed it....had to go back and get that too. o well i got it really clean with the pannels off. any way i think all u should need is like an 8mm socket and a ratchet...dont hold me to the size though i would bring a socket set. there is 2 bolts holding it to the dash..under the cubbies, and 2 holding it to the floor under the cup holders. i think that is all then u just pull it straight back cause it has lip things that hold it down it the back and u have to pull the back to get them out

EDIT: i would also bring a knife or wire cutters cause i do belive there might be some wires in there that are unneeded....like the rear stereo control.

There is a how to around here about that. But phillips screwdriver. Smaller sockets. Wires can be cut. They are a pain to get out. Once you get all the bolts out you can pull it out if the air duct is not in the way.
