Finally, painted cluster

Finally got a good picture of my cluster painted and in. Initially after I put the cluster in, the damn odometer stopped working so I had to swap it out. End results though I love it. Just need to paint my hvac and foglight button. Eventually have to do my cruise pods also if I ever install it.

Thank you sir. I never planned on painting it but just got tired of the crappy green color that it was before.

Looks pretty good.

FYI, Doing the pods is a bit of a PITA. They're soldered in, and the pods themselves are delicate, so be very very careful when opening them. I put mine in facing the rear so they diffused very well and the pods are all evenly lit. The fog switch is pretty easy. For the basic illumination of that, there is a plug in you can get from superbrightleds.com. For the indicator, you still have to solder it in.

Is your self esteem so low that you feel the need to point out something negative in everyone's cluster threads? The guy is happy with his project, and it came out pretty decent. Not everyone has the time, or inclination to spend the time, to install LEDs in their cluster the way you do. Do you have it in you to either post something positive about someone's project, or just leave the thread alone?

Its all good. I like they way it turned out. I am taking 20 credit hours and have a life out of school so I don't have the free hours like you jp to solder all of those leds. All I had to do was twist them in and I was done.

The camera probably makes the hot spots look worse, that's how the pic of mine turned out.

When you look at it in person it looks a lot better

Definitely looks better in person. Its not as noticeable as the picture shows. Is it perfect though, no. Do I love the way it looks for the amount of time put in, yes!

I should have suggested white needles, they'll glow with whatever color the bulb is

It is, but you still have to rid the cluster of the green paint
