Fog light harness behind radio?

I have a base model 03 ranger and am in the process of doing the edge 4wd bumper swap, i noticed that it already has the wiring behind the bumper for the fogs, but cannot find the harness to plug into the fatory switch on the dash. Did they come with one hidden back there?

I think you have to buy the wire harness, but its odd that the wiring is behind the bumper and not in the dash

Have you pulled your bezel off and made sure the plug isn't attached to the back of the bezel? It seems most trucks have the plug and wiring under the dash but not all of them have the engine bay wiring. If you have the engine bay wiring I'd think you have the dash wiring harness.

My ’03 has Fogs and they come on with both the Parking and the low beams.
Just thinking here, if the relay positions are there AND IF the wiring is there from the relays to the lights, then you could either trace the wires from the relays back inside the cab to the switch or maybe just run your own from the relay in.
The idea of buying a harness, although probably pricey, is a good idea or maybe just JY it.
Do you have the Radio Bezel with the Switch in it already ?
Almost any JY would have the Bezel, the switch and/or at least the harness and connectors and that would help out a lot if you intend to use the OEM Switch.

Just thinking as I type in this stuff so if it doesn’t make sense just ask what I meant.

Luck and post what you did.

That good too.
I like the Radio Bezel without anything on it so it works for me.

Is the wiring a kit with the wire, relay and fuse in place ?
If not make sure to use a fuse in the main power coming from the battery.

ltr,
Luck,

i ended up not going with the kit, i just pieced together a wiring harness and yes the main power and switch are both fused. Just wish i could find out how to use the stock switch

Do you have a switch, the Harness/Connector ?
If so find out the input, the output and the Backlighting wires, you will need the schematic, I am not sure if I have one.
Once you gone through that and determined the correct wires and marked the, then it is a matter of hooking up the power/relay/dash lighting.

It may take a little while on the check out but I think it will be worth it.

Do you have the schematics ?

This is how its layed out, i got it working with a toggle switch like:
Fog + ---- 87
On Position ---85
Off Position ---- ign (fused)

Trying to figure out how to do it through the factory switch

If the added features to the wiring diagram are correct ( OEM Switch stuff) then I would do this:

Or - Not sure - may be just the indicator lamp, if so then I would do one of two things. Connect the orange wire to Pin 86 on the relay, this would indicate that the relay is actuated or two, connect to the Blk/Blu Wire
Red/Blk - Power from the the Inside Cab Circuit Panel.
Blk - Ground not much to say here.
Blk/Blu Wire (Fog Lamp Relay) to pin 85 on the new Relay

I have not checked out the wiring of the OEM Switch and made an assumption on what the terminology means, so judge the worth of the info by the price you paid for it !

Find a Schematic on line for the fog Light switch, has to be one somewhere and then you got it !
