I am guessing that you responded to my PM. since I can't get it maybe you will see this and help me out with my question about the heated seat install in my wifes Sebring. I need to know what is a good wire to tap into to handle the 10 amps and turn on with the ignition. I want the seat warmers to go off with the key. If anyone else has any recommendations that would be greatly appreciated also.

Nice work Bob. My dad has the same kit in his 05 Ranger. I'm wanting heated seats now.

Your seat covers

Bob-

First off, Awesome truck! Love all the mods thus far, including the 5.0 swap (YOWSA!) and the heated seats. (Don't think I'll need 'em much here though.) I liked your center console and had read that the seats in the truck are stock with covers in black w/ blue inserts. Were they aftermarket or custom made?

I love the color combo and seats, but am stuck with the (60/40?) bench with center fold down. What years would have those buckets if I wanted to replace mine and drop in a console?

Sweet work and thanks in advance,

Chance Lowenberg

Those exact blue/black buckets only came in the 2003 Level II's. 2004~2007 are a similar color combo but have a taller back/headrest.

So you want them to heat in the summer too?

btw, great post. I hope to try this in my ranger sometime this summer (definitely before the winter!)

You can get seat coolers. They are fans located under the seats. You need to have perforated leather.

Expeditions and a few other vehicles have them.

ebay has a lot of nice aftermarket seat heaters. i bought two sets, one for my wife's car, and one for my truck. both are installed, but the ones in my truck aren't hooked up yet. love the ones in my wife's car. had them for almost 2 years now with no problems. i install them almost daily at work as well. except i hate the ones we use at work. they are way too small in my opinion. i like the larger, carbon fiber ones.

Each application is different so you'll need to look at yours, measure and decide. A link to the manufacturer's instructions is in post #14 of this thread.
