how to remove gauges

How do u remove the gauges pod? i want to paint the bezel around the gagues and install the reverse glow gauges.

You have to take off the radio bezel (not completely off, just loosen it enough) by removing the 2 7mm screws. Take off the pieces beneath the steering wheel with 3 screws (7mm) + removing the hood pop cable (7mm I think). Then you must remove the metal sheet fro behind the pieces underneath the steering wheel by taking out the 4 screws (8mm I believe). Then the three bolts that are above the gauges (7mm).

Then to get your guages out there are 4 more small screws on each corner of the gauge cluster. But I believe that plastic piece you want to paint is pretty hard to get to. It's stuck to the plastic clear top.

Gauges faces are easy to install though.

Make sure the needles don't stick before putting everything back together.
Takes a few hours the first time.
