How to tell what year Bucket seats I have

When I bought my 04 ranger the drivers seat was tore up.

So i found a set of seats on eBay. I THINK they were from an 09 but that was over 5 years ago and cant remember.

Now I want to get seat covers for them. The problem I am finding is they dont list a bucket seat with console or an 09 and That is what I have(or at least what year I think they are)

Anyway to tell?

I went on Saddle man seat cover web site and they only seem to list buckets as new as 08. And the 08 seat covers are a different part number than an 04

buler????

More info...
Passenger seat had a "bladder" in the bottom. I assume to monitor weight of that passenger to turn air bag on or not

All Ranger sears had the same style 04-11, in 06 (I believe) they added the occupancy sensor. Anything for buckets from 04-11 SHOULD fit.

All the manufacture seem to have different rangers of what they say fits

Ones say 04-05 then 06-09 then 10/11

Other dont offer bucket seat options newer than 08

That is where the confusion comes into play

Then some say there is a side air bag. I didn't even realize the ranger ever got that

One thing for sure, the 04-05 seats had taller headrests. That's probably why they list a different part number for that year range.

Just buy a set and if they're not correct, blame all of us for not telling you exactly what brand and style to get. I'm surprised you haven't got a set of 03s and tried to make the headrest fit before even asking for assistance. FYI, looks like they're from an 06-08.

Did you not see the word "SHOULD"? Having an occupancy sensor means it's 06+. I think you can do the rest of the research from here. How is it that you expect us to know exactly what is in YOUR truck that is a different year than what was originally in it from the factory? How about you refrain from blaming others about "misinformation" that isn't in fact a wrong answer? Go buy yourself a cheap set of universal seat covers from walmart. Then whine to them when it doesn't fit right. Maybe they will put up with your pissy attitude.

I think they only had a few styles of seats ,so I would think it would be easy to figure out, by the way Dewey that was a good laugh, needed it after work

Is the word "SHOULD" not in your vocabulary? I never said that they were exact, or claimed I was certain. Be thankful anyone is trying to help you considering your ignorant, arrogant posts.

If you dont know, then you shouldn't post.

Just what I want to do, Buy $150 custom seat covers and not have them fit, and then not be able to return then because I gave them the wrong information.

brilliant

Yes, you're going to find something to complain about anyways, so why not buy a useless set of custom covers.

And if you're not going to do some research on your own, you probably shouldn't bother to create a thread.

Ok, so i should do research(which I did) and not get the info, then make a thread to possibly find the info. And then be belittled by someone who doesnt know.

Again, brilliant

There have been multiple helpful replies to this post. It's not our fault that you purchased seats for your truck that you didn't care or think enough ahead about to remember what year they were. Again, my bad that you can't remember something about your truck. If it's that big of a deal for you, go get your current seats reupholstered. No confusion there and no possible way to get it wrong. If you're scared of spending the money, then go and buy a universal set at Walmart and return it if it doesn't fit right. If you're expecting a guarentee that any brand/style/year will work, you're looking in the wrong place and being a jerk about it.

I see no personal attacks. I shared my opinion. #firstamendment and I, among others, offered you a couple different solutions.

So they are 2006-2009 seats. 04-05 were the highbacks. 06-09 had the seat sensors but a shorter back for better view. 2010 got the adjustable head rests with side air bags.

It was a statement of opinion. If you have a problem with someone sharing a personal observation, you might want to keep in consideration that you have said much worse to others and had no problem with it. So please don't try to play the victim. I am closing this thread because you have already gotten your answer. You shouldn't need any further assistance picking out seat covers.
