you should see all the spiders under there....plus he has it in a cramped garage with tons of stuff around it. I had a hard time taking off the seats and stuff because the passenger door wont open. Its not thats its a lot of work, but if I do flip it, its gotta be worth my time/drive out there. I wouldnt do it if I couldnt make more than 150 off of it.

i saw the cluster, but my truck has a digital odo and that had the ticker type. I couldve gotten a ton of stuff to re-sell but idk what the stuff is really worth trying to flip and didnt know what to offer. His OHC was clean, so was the auto-dim mirror....no lighted visors though :(

edit: you think some simple green will work better? What ratio should I dilute it to?

I don't think the seats look very good at all. You should ship them to me and I'll take care of them.

Console is gonna have to wait till the weekend. The seats only have 3 bolts right now, the Explorer seats have smaller bolt holes than rangers. I was able to open up one on each seat before my drill died last night around 11pm. Driver side is only power seat and its wired up, just gotta tuck away the wires.

Couple things I noticed:

My truck's an 05, so this may not apply to other years but like I said, bolt holes need to be opened up on the explorer seats.

Cant drop the seat all the way down because the bottom trim piece hits the floorboard. That peice will have get trimmed in oder to allow full up/down adjustability.

02 Explorer doesnt have pretensioner, but swapping out the buckles is easy, need to drill one hole on explorer seat, bolt down and ur done.

Original explorer seat belt brackets have to come off, they get in the way when sliding the seat forward or back.

Other than that, they fit good, door closes fine, they are way more comfy than original bench. Only thing is the headrest is WAY back...you kinda have to put year head back like when ur getting a hair cut and they wash your hair. Its no big deal for me since I dont drive with my head on it, but my wife does and it kinda annoys her.

seat is wired up, ground to a seat bolt, power from an add-a-circuit off the cig/obd2 fuse. Any tips on installing the console?

edit: my console insert is scratched up a bit, doesnt look as shiny as urs :( I was hoping I could re-paint or just send it to a bodyshop and have them paint/clear it for a NICE clean look

I ran into this also...what are your plans for this? if the pretensioners are not hooked up I thought the airgbag system disarms and the light will stay on.

I just did the console this past weekend. it was super easy. i pulled the carpet to locate the spots to drill using the how to on this site. the location the guy has in the center console how to was perfect. it didnt take me long at all. the hardest part IMO is determining where to drill the holes to mount the bracket.

Like the message you quoted says "need to drill one hole on explorer seat, bolt down and ur done" Just swap out the pretensioner from the original seat, drill a hole on the sheet metal on the side of the explorer seat, run bolt through tensioner and metal on explorer seat and tighten with a nut.
