I know Scangauges are for pretty much all 1996+ vehicles, and some vehicles manufactured prior to that. Does anyone know if a Scanguage would work in my 1992 Ranger STX? How would I tell for sure?

No it won't, it only works for vehicles with OBDII

 

waitttttt these things show rpms??? id really like to get one are they easy to put in? i bought a tachometer once and took it to a mechanic asked him to hook it up and he said he couldn't because it would register double rpms... soo 4000 rpms would be 8000 because 2 of my cylinder fired at once or some bull so would this read it right??

 

Yeah this reads it right, it displays a ton of things. Go to scangauges website and it will tell you everything it does.
