Is it part of the tremor package console? If so, I would pay $100 for that whole console, with the sub and amp in it... But no way would you ever get me to pay $150 for half of a console, just because it's black.
Hell I have a spare black shorty console at my house right now, without the arm rest.

Well do you want my "ranger black" one? Or do you want me to pull you one if I can find one?
Honestly, it's going to be cheaper for you to hit a local JY and wheel them. I get them cheap because I go there often for parts. But I also pull the line
"I'll give you $x.xx for this."
"I don't know if I can do that low"
"Look, it's not making you any money sitting out there, and here's cash"
"Alright, how bout $x.xx + $5?"
"Ok" Then I pull out my card and pay! haha
You just gotta do stuff like that.

Thanks but although I can get consoles, grey, full length almost any other one I can’t find a black one or a Dk Grey one.
SSSSoooo, do you have a black one with fold-down armrest that you want to get rind of ?
IF you do what would you want for it ?
How much do you think it would cost for shipping to 01930
BUT “IF” you don’t no problem, thanks for the info, that is more important.

Well I could sell mine, but honestly in shipping and what I would ask for it, you'd be upwards of $50-60... I think you could find one at a junkyard a lot cheaper.
Here's the trick. Get any color console you can find that's in good shape. Then go out and buy some adhesion promoter and some satin black plastic spray paint, and a matte, satin or gloss clear coat in a spray can. Clean it really well with soap and hot water first, then a medium base paint thinner to remove the oils. Then shoot it with AP, then paint, then clear and let it set inside somewhere warm for a day or 2 before you install. Same process goes for the armrest. If the console you go find doesn't have a good armrest, keep looking for a good one then do the same process you did on the console to the armrest. Or you could change it up and use vinyl and fabric paint in satin for that. I've used it and it holds up really well! Just remember to leave a good amount of time for drying before install to insure proper adhesion.

Thank about the arm rest. That gets quite a bit of use, and it's still holdin up strong, and it only has adhesion promoter and vinyl paint on it because I couldn't find my clear coat. The vinyl coat is actually really thin too cuz I just managed to hit the bottom of the can on paint... But you can't even tell!

I'd suggest finding one in black rather than painting one. The paint never lasts especially in high wear areas. Maybe paints have come a long way but I painted all the plastic in my 69 Mach 1 black and its all scratched up with very little use. We used good quality/high dollar paint, prepped the parts well and used a paint gun and still it doesn't hold up.
I got a set of seats and a black shorty console out of an 05 FX4 from my local junk yard for $100 for all of it. The seats looked kind of muddy (truck was rolled over) but everything cleaned up and is mint. The best part was I sold my bench setup for $120

I just noticed that the Console in my ’98 XLT Ex-Cab has a black Cup Holder section, well that takes care of that part if I need one in blk.
I am still looking at the one I saw for the higher end $$$, it looks nice a few small problems but I didn’t want to spend as much as they are asking.
I will look around some more and see where it gets me.

There's nothing wrong with a painted console. I painted my entire explorer full length one, and I've painted my armest I have on my short console now. You can't even tell. And the armrest is showing no wear, or than some scratches from dragging my gf's dog's nails when she rides in there. That's about it.

$100 for a black console? Sorry, you got taken. I normally pay $15 for my consoles.

I'm glad you're happy with your painted stuff. Some of us don't like to live with scratches and some of us don't want to repaint our stuff every few months to keep it looking nice. Thats why I said I'd get a factory black one. If you can truely get consoles for $15 it would be stupid to paint one as you'll have way more than that in it after you paint it the correct color.
