mad creaking w/center console

Do you guys have a problem with the explorer center console squeeking and creaking all the time? What have you done to minimize/remove it?

I have the problem, but don't have answer. Somebody will chime in sooner or later...I think.

x2, just get used to it...I tried everything...it doesn't work.

It is even in my moms expo, it's BAD...actually worse in hers. Just don't lean hard on it (it's when you push it to the side)

It's either the passanger seat belt squeaking against the console, or the hard plastic cup holder. I just give the whole think a good dose of plastic conditioner, and that seems to help for about 6 months. The cupholder is the worst, since I can't figure out how the remove it.

5 year bump FTW

Most of the creaking seems to come from the compartment door. I have a 'crush block' under my armrest, and when that block pushes down on the door from my body weight, it creaks like hell, but when I remove the crush block and lean on it, there's not as much creaking.
I tried putting dynamat all over the inside of the console, that didn't help. I'm thinking of making a crush pillar to stick vertically inside the compartment to support the door when it gets compressed. I doubt itll do much though, this seems like more of a design flaw than anything else.
