modify metal 03 male buckle to 04 female buckle.

I have a 2003 ranger XLT supercab with 60/40 seats. I have purchased leather bucket seats from a 2004 FX4 to put in my truck.

It appears that the 03 male side of the buckle does not latch in the 04 female side of the buckle. I fits in but, does not latch. I do not have the 04 male side of the buckle from the donor truck to compare them to my 03 female buckles.

The pretensioners are of different types so I can not switch them. I also, looked at swap the plastic female buckles parts around but, that looked very hard to do.

What would I need to do to modify the metal 03 male buckle to 04 female buckle. Is the hole in the male side a different size?

You can swap the female ends attached to the seats direct. Its a 1 bolt swap I have done it on 2 rangers already. This swap is a very easy swap so dont sweat it

Yes you were correct. All I had to do was buy some washers and 2 M10 nuts to put them on.

Thanks for the help.
