ash tray question

when i put in my cb radio in my 04 i cut up my little plastic ash tray/coin holder thing down under the stereo. well im now wanting to remove the cb but i went to the dealer and he told me that plastic part is $150. i was like holy **** you've gotta be kidding me! That much for a piece of plastic?!?!

well anyways i found this one on ebay for an 02 and was wondering if it would fit. i think it will but i wanna make sure before i buy it. it looks different than mine though. mine wasn't a pull out ash tray like this is, it was just a little compartment to set things in.

take a look and tell me what you guys think

as long as its the same interior color it fits.

smokers package = ash tray pull out

non-smokers package = cubby hole

BUT...you need what those pieces clip/slide into. The eBay auction appears to come with all that you need, including what the switch cover snaps to, and what the ashtray slides into.

I believe '04+ all got black cubbys down there....regardless of the interior color. Try a junkyard.

Here's a pic of what you need if you want an ash tray....3 total pieces...bracket, switch cover, and ashtray.....

And you know what the cubby thing looks like.....if you've got that already, all you need is another cubby...pop the old one out, and pop the new one in. No replacing of the bracket needed.

yeah, the one on ebay kinda looks like it comes with everything. it looks like the bracket is attached to the switch cover and ash tray.

yep...i said that above. appears to have the bracket attached to it. I think the ashtray is cleaner looking. I converted from the cubby hole to the ashtray a few years back.

Yeah I used to have the cubby back when the truck was stock and auto tranny... Went manual tranny and wanted a clean look and put the switch box cover and ash tray in (switch is behind the dash and my tank pressure gauge is in it's place... Clean look).

I was gonna say I'll go pull one for you at the JY tomorrow, but that's pretty cheap. I can't really do it for less than that lol

I know I have a spare passenger air bag cover that's the dark gray, but I'll see about finding you a new one this next week. I could go Monday after class and see what they have. I think he charged me $10 for mine. If I can find one at home it's free, you'd just have to pay shipping.
