I have an '02 XLT extended cab and I want to swap out my 60/40 seats with buckets. I know you can put 2002 and earlier explorer and some sport trac model seats in. What I am trying to find out is what years of mustangs can I pull the seats out of to go into my pickup?

As always, I appreciate any help I can get and I am grateful for this site with all the advice and knowledge!

 

If you are trying to have sport buckets, they will fit. If you have EXT cab, go with EXT cab, If you have Single CAB, find single cab to replace the od ones, That's the rule.
For 2002, any newer tracks will fit, but follow the rule.

You can even use the 2011 seats, because they use same tracks.

If by any chance you find a good ones but different track, you need to replace them from you old ones to your new ones and will fit perfectly, from the seat cushion pan to all below.

If you are looking to change your seat interiors, I know a guy at ebay who can work with you to do upholstery covers to your current seats to make them look aftermarket with an awesome design.

if you want mustang seats in there, look for a set of 93-97 ext cab ranger tracks or even manual explorer seat tracks. they will basically bolt to your floor, and bolt to the mustang seats.

 

The 60/40 Tracks will unbolt from the seat pans on your seats but you will need to disassemble the seats first.
Take the backs off first then the lower frame come apart.

The Slider Tracks are not a welded component of the 60/40 frame or at least they weren’t in my 03 setup, all bolted on !

 

does anyone have any pics of the 'stang seats in their ranger... I am seriously thinking about doing this mod
