My passenger side window got smashed out the other night, so I went to the j/y to get a new window (55$) but I can't seem to figure out how to get the new window installed... It looks like it was riveted on to the slide rail,to where the plstic pieces are in the bottom of the window....????
here's what it looks like on the slide and on the new window....












So can someone who has done this before give me an idea of how hard it would be to do this myself, or if I should just take it in to a glass shop and have it done....

Grind the rivets off..with a grinding wheel on a drill... replace with nuts and bolts.
or drill them out with a bit. the plastic things are just sandwiched on the glass with the rivet holding them together.

The funny part about it rob is that i did it me self... I locked the keys in the truck and remembered the "antenna trick" to unlock the doors... Take antenna off not realizing that I cut 4 inches off of it 2 months ago and didn't put the little ball back on, shoved it in the hole and BAM broken window...The worst part is I didn't even check to see if the slider was open... WHICH IT WAS!!!!!... Oh well lesson learned.. Hide a Key FTW!!!!
