im getting ready to do the gauge cluster led mod... i was wondering if any of you guys know if they make white replacement needles by chance, or different colors for that matter?

 

my stock ones were white now they sit in a drawer since i swapped to a explorer cluster lol

 

The white needles will glow with whatever color your LED's are. I kept my white ones and I'm very glad I did, they look great

 

ok, i just went and checked my truck and the needles are orange, can i but white needles?

 

yeah, have you tried a junkyard? just pull a stock cluster apart and take the needles

 

my needles are stock, what models have the white needles?

 

just regular XLT models or XL models, the majority of them have white needles

 

My Edge came with white needles

 

All Edges have white needles too. When I did the sport trac cluster swap, I also swapped my original white needles on to it. Orange needles look like *** IMO

 

i wish you could just buy the needles, i have the orange ones. and in doing the gauge clusted led conversion and going blue, i dont feel like the orange wil compliment it too nicely... i dunno. i have to do it anyways because i got two lights out on the dash.

 

Do you have access to junkyards that have Rangers?

 

There's a pretty good chance I'll have a set of white needles from my Explorer cluster mod/demolition.

I could be persuaded to part with these once I'm finished with my LED mods.

How much 'ya lookin' to spend on a set of needles?

 

im not for sure, i just saw a 2003 on craigslist that im going to check into
Ford Ranger parts maybe i can call and see if it has them. i could prolly get the whole gauge cluster to so if i mess this mod up id have a back up.

ohh and ive called all the junkyards around and they dont have any rangers, i think there getting p!ssed cause i call them so often.
