Newbee seat swap question...

Hello-
I'm new to the forums and new to the Ranger so please bare with me. I recently purchased a '94 Ranger extend cab with a grey interior that needs some serious tlc. It has the 60/40 split that is toasty toast. I've done a little browsing on here and it appears that explorer buckets will fit. Any heads up on the years that will work, as well as advice avoiding common pitfalls is greatly appreciated! I plan on doing a new carpet swap at the same time as well, and then calling it good for the inside...

I have found that some of the Ranger/Explorer Seat Tracks unbolt, may make swapping easier.

explorer seats should bolt right in. 95-01 or up to 03 ex sports/sport tracs.

if the seat track unbolt and don’t match up then (smoke) thinking here; you might be able to use some flat stock and adapt one set of bracket to the seats you want.

Try to keep std cab track to std cab and ext to ext.

Good Hunting.

seeing how he has an ext cab, they should bolt right down without having to swap tracks. even if the tracks don't line up, because it's a 94, his tracks will unbolt off the ranger seats and bolt directly up to the explorer seats. so either way, it will be a complete bolt in. but if he can reuse the explorer tracks, then he can gain power.

I didn’t see the EXtended Cab in the OP, so keep to the Ext Seat Track or Std Explorer Seat Track and all should be good.

OP, I have a '94 as well, and the seat is completely shot. How is your search going and what have you learned so far?
