OHC ?

Can someone tell me how many inches from where the windshield meets the headliner to make the first side to side cut?
I have a small hole now and starting to drill out the slots but looking at the pics my inside layer of metal looks different than in the pics....maybe it's just me and the nerves are getting the best of me. I have a 98 ext cab 4x4...not sure if that makes any difference.

if you are talking about the metal under the headliner, i started mine at the edge nearest the glass and came back.

here is a pic of my bracket installed. the bracket will look different because i had to cut some off to clear my sunroof. mine may be a little too far forward, i'm not sure. i'll find out soon when i do my headliner.

drppdyllwrngr,

That visual of the headliner did the trick. I just used a peice of line wedged it under both the visor screws on each side and used that line across as my start point....worked like a charm....next is my drivers seatcover then the ohc wiring...thanks much.
