Icon13 ohc installed with a problem

ok i spent all day gettin my ohc in. i have a couple problems. 1 its too far up but i think i can fix that one. 2 my dome light no longer works. 3 before putting it in it tried to check the bulbs in the ohc and the copper strip thing broke, looks like it was made to break when you check your bulbs actually..... what to do? oh i tested the wire with a 12 volt tester and it didnt show anything. im honestly not sure that tester even works though... this sucks.

Well, get a tester that you know works. Or go test it on something that you know has power.

Pics help more than a rambling sentence.
