ohc light question

so, i recently purchased an ohc, and i have been readins up on the install at TRS. i was wondering if there was any other way i could wire the lights instead of to the dome light power. i currently have my bulbs pulled from the dome light because my "door ajar" switch is stuck.

so i was wondering if i could just wire them like a set of offroad lights, either on or off, no door control

Yeah you could. Just wire them to the same wire as the power wire from the radio, except but it on a toggle switch. Cake.

Just a simple rocker style switch. Autozone has all kinds.

No, all you need to do is take the power wire for the lights, put it on one side of the switch. Then on the ACC side of the switch you put that wire to the lights. Then just ground the switch and your good to go.
