OHC Mod's - Sw's but No Temp/Compass...

here is what I have done to my OHC so far.
I did not buy it for the electronics, I wanted a place for switches and to mount my Amateur Radio.

The LED Conversion; I used two larger center LEDs that are more directional but what are Map Lights for but to light up the lap of the passenager.

That's it so far this is a work in progress and I won't be around for a week or two so nothing will be done.

Sorry, all the parts are left overs form other projects, being an HAM I have a lot of left overs.
I am sure if you checked out the Stores mentioned in other post you will find an LED the
ODthat you need.

At the moment I am not much help laying out in the sun with a brew in the Keys but I will do some checking when I return. In the mean time check out any of the LED Mods that are going on in this site and you can get a store location.

I have them but do not know if they work.
The guy I bough the OHC from said it worked but then again he did say anything about the burnt sockets or ribbon cable inside so i do not know the status.

That panel looks professional. Can't wait to see this finished.

Great idea!

edog,
I have the electronics pak, hope it works but as I said earlier who knows I didn’t hook it up.
I will send the rubberized push button part, other than the light structure there isn’t much more.
I have the Harness and the Temp Sensor but they are not part of the internals unless it is something you need ?

ltr

It looks like it will fit a standard 4.95 box but I will see tomorrow, sorry I didn’t get to the USPS today but we are expected to get 6 to 10” of snow in the northeast so i am not sure I will even get there tomorrow but the electronics pak is your.

Thanks for your efforts. I will take what ever you are not going to use. Having the harness may allow me to make fewer soldering repairs. I am not sure what I am going to need to make a good repair. Let me know what your e mail address so I can send you a PayPal payment. And I agree, your work looks good. And I also await the finished product. Thanks for your help. And we are getting snow here also, so I know what you mean about not getting out to mail items right away.

So what you are saying is that you need the harness, if you don’t there are other that may.

Do you now have a harness, i am talking about the main harness not the one that is attached to the Electronics Pak ?

there one or two guys looking for the Sensor, i need to look them up.

I do not need the main harness that plugs into the OHC harness, just the "guts" (Electronics Pak) inside the OHC that are attached to the part that the "main harness" plugs into. I also do not need the sensor. I have an OHC that I am trying to repair internally, specifically the dome lamps. Thanks.

I will look but I think that was the part I threw out because it was burnt up.
The guy I bought it from said it was in working order and there was no way the burnt connections would work.
Let me look and I will let you know.

eDog,
Sorry man but no harness, I thought I had thrown it out and I guess I did.
I do have the lights bulb Sockets, one burnt up a little but it looks like it might work but $5 to ship isn’t always worth it unless you REALLY need it.

Don't worry about it. I think that I am going to put LEDs in. I need to finish some other projects first. Thanks for looking.

When you do LEDs, you need to determine if you want a flood lighting or a Spot, as OEM.
LEDs by nature are more spot than flood although you can get a flood pattern LED.
The ones in my pic are designed for a close beam pattern and spot light each persons lap as a Map Light should.
Anyway check out the LEDs before you buy.
