Where is the temperature sensor for the ohc located on a Ford explorer

 

Behind the grille on the driver side of the Gen2 Explorer. Be careful because some high end Explorers have 2 sensors near there. For the overhead console, you want to get the one with the blue/white and blue/yellow wires. If you use the other one (red/orange and pink/black wires) from the EATC climate control, then the console temp display will be way off.
