I went to the Hayfield Bash back in..04? 05? Dave01978 is ADDICTED to ' Anchor Bar Wings' or Buffalos best chicken wings.
So.. Dave was going there to do demos of his Waterless Carwash Products and such.. I gave him a bucket of wings ( still warm! ). ScottyG and I had to go pick something up from the parts store for one of the guys lowering their truck.. When I came back, Wed Turner and a few other guys all approached me ' Dude.. I hope you know this guy.. ' and my whole dashboard was torn apart.
I liked how Dave did his dash, LED's in the HVAC, Foglight, 4x4, light switch.. ( etc ) and he decided to thank me for the wings and do mine.
I walked into Clancy's garage and theres Dave, One chicken wing in his mouth, one in one of his hands, and a soldering iron in the other.. I have pic's of it here somewhere..
He sanded the LED's to dispurse the light better. He knows what hes doing and to be honest, its one of the mods that really sticks out. The LED's he did glow brighter then the cold-cathodes I have under the dash!
Honestly, I didn't know he was gonna do it for me :)
PM Dave, he might be able to help ya out if you care to do the same.
D.
( edit: ) I'm not finished with my interrior, I still have a LOT of plans for this truck.. I'm just doing the suspension and colission work right now. Some of the interrior items I need to pick up are from a shop in Detroit and I can't go there ( legally ) till mid June. I plan on doing a bit more to the dash ( more gauges ) and a rollcage, re-apolstering the seats as one has a nice rip :(

D nailed it on the head, but another great truck was Cosism's.

thanks for the tip D. I actually have pretty much identical overlays installed, and I did the HVAC/Headlight Switch/Cruise Control Pod LED mods all in blue. I did it probably 6 months ago... and they look great, just not as bright as yours :o( Maybe I didnt use bright enough LEDS. Hrmph.

Dave specifically mentioned scuffing/fogging up the led's with sand paper ( very fine grit ) till the led's appeared ' white ' on the surface,. That is what causes the better light disbursement.
I'm still trying to figure out how to get the green out of the factory head unit

If you remove the head unit and take the faceplate off, I believe there are just 4 clips holding it on, two on each side, you can see the green is produced by a bunch of LEDs in there. It should be an easy mod to do since it already has LEDs installed so the resistor drivers for 'em should work on new LEDs.
Now, how to get the green out of the digital clock is probably another story . . .
