im plannin on painting my bezel red by the weekend... i know how to do it and i bought all the stuff i need from work tonight. but ive been looking at my bezel.. and im trying to figure out how im gonna get around my 4x4 switch, foglights, cig lighter, and 12v outlet... ive searched and only found an answer or two but theyre not really clear. i need some help so i dont break or really screw something up. help?

 

I dont have that switch but the cig lighter and the 12v outlet should pop out...am i not understanding the question right?

 

so they just "pop" out... like theres a tab or something? yeah.. im really at a loss on this 4x4 switch... definitely dont wanna break that off.

 

i havent done this mod myself... but my understanding is that when you pull the bezel off you can disconnect all the junk attached to it so you just have the bezel... though someone else should be able to give you a more definitive answer.

 

what you gotta do is take the bezel off and then unplug all the crap from it. like the lighter and the 12v outlet, the radio, and all the switches will still be attatched. i don't have a 4x4 switch but the fog lights have a little harness that you gotta unscrew. once you get the bezel off you will be able to see what i'm talkin about better. when everything is unplugged and the radio is taken out then you hold the back of the lighter/outlet and turn the inside and it will screw off. there are two separate pieces (and back and the inside) sorry if that was a bit confusing but it made sense to me haha. i just did it a couple months back. ask any questions to clarify it up haha

 

take off the radio bezel, unhook all the wire connections from the bezel

cigarette lighter and aux power point= hold the inside of it and unscrew the outside.
foglight switch= 2 screws in the back of the bezel and remove
4x4 switch= 2 screw in the back of the bezel and remove

DONT LOSE THE SCREWS!!

 

I NEED AN ANSWER ASAP if possible. the know on the 4x4 switch prevents the switch from coming out of the back. is there a trick to getting this **** off... or what?????

 

ok never mind i figured it out.. i just am having toruble gettin all this rubber stuff off.
