I have a horrible rattle comming from my driver's side rear door.
I removed the door panel and have secured everything that I
can in the door with either tape, or by wedging socks between
cables, and still there is a rattle. I cannot recreate the rattle
without driving it, which makes me think it may be a latch issue.

Has anyone else had this problem, and what did it take to fix it.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

on my truck i had a rattle when my truck would thump, the problem was they have some type of sound barrer tape stuck to the inside of the door skin and it had stared to come ungluded. it was black and about 1/8 thick and hard. so i removed the porition that had unstuck and the rattle went away. if any help.

 

Try leaving the door panels off and having someone drive while you look around. Thats about the best way to find them critters

 

I removed a 4" section that was loose and flopping around, but no luck for me.

I think i will have to squeeze myself into the back and listen for the exact spot.

Edit: I put a rag on the bottom latch, and it seemed to make the rattle stop.
Is the black bottom latch adjustable? If so, what size Torx Bit does it use?
