Explorer seat question

I'm using the seats from the explorer I'm using for my v8 swap. I just have a question about the wiring. I know that the all black is ground and the black/white is power. The harness that plugs into the seats have a yellow/gray and a light blue/white. Do I need to use those wires at all? On the seats theres only the black wires that go into the harness. Hope that makes sense.

The light blue/white and gray/yellow are for seat heater main power and the seat heater control circuit. Not needed if heated seats are not needed.

There's not even a switch anywhere that I know of for the heated seats. If they are for sure heated I'm hooking it up. Cold seats SUCK!! But thank you rwenzing.

Here's how Ford wired the Ex seats in 2000

Seat motors:
BK/WH - 25A fused circuit, always hot

Heaters:
LB/WH - 30A fused circuit, always hot
GY/YE - 7.5A fused circuit, hot in run

Ground:
BK

Each of the 3 power circuits is from a single fuse, then split to the two seats. Be sure to use adequate wire gauge for the nominal current in each circuit.

The heater switch is usually on the outboard side of each seat, near the motor controls.
