Removing 60/40 Seat Cushions
Removing 60/40 Seat Cushions
The driver's side seat in my truck has a big tear in it now from me sliding over it over the last few years. I found a nice replacement at U-Pull-It today, but I don't want the whole seat since my back support is still fine. How do you remove the seat cushion from the frame and back support of the seat. A guide would be nice. Thanks :)
I had a how to on my computer that I typed up about 3 or 4 years ago. I will see if I can find it.
Otherwise you can just pull the little plastic tabs that are around the edges of the seat and the fabric will come off and then the cushion will come off as well.

On the lower portion of the back there is either velcro or just an overlapped portion, roll the covers off; after that the foam will be stuck to the metal so go easy and pull up, maybe use a thin blade or stick to work under the cushion.
The bottom is similar, remember to roll the inside out and it goes back on the same way.
If the seats are the same color think about using the passenger seat from the JY truck as a drivers seat by switching the track mechanisms.

I don't want bucket seats in that truck. I like the 60/40. Thanks, though. :) I got the seat (frame included). The total was $22.81. I for sure thought that it would cost $60 or $70. They also brought in a Sport Trac. I'll probably go back tomorrow and see what I can get out of that.
