Removing Window tint

My old reliable 98 was a victim of a 16 year old text messaging and was declared totaled in the five car melee. Had that truck just right for me but found a great 2002 that i picked up for a nice price. Two things that need addressed, the first being it has VERY DARK (maybe illegal) window tint on all windows and 1/4 of the windshield.
Anyone know the best way to remove this?
Thanks

at wall mart they sell the stuff to take it off. you can use a razorblade and some goo off. or just find a window tinting place near you they should be able to remove it for you for a small fee.

Be careful and keep using new fresh razorblades otherwise you will scratch the window. Your best bet is to take it to a tint place and have it taken off, they will most likely use a steam machine and remove it without scratching the window.

GOT IT OFF, thanks to a mixture of amonia/water, a glass paint scrapper, Goo Gone and the skills of my wife.
It took about a half day but it is MUCH BETTER. Thanks for all the input!
