went to the junkyard today and picked up these bad boys for 50 bucks all i need now is some regular cab 60/40 seat tracks

I didn't swap the tracks putting in 98 explorer seats in my 2000 reg cab. I just cut off the legs that go to the inside rear of each seat. and drill new holes for the other rear legs. You could probably cut the legs and weld a bracket to bolt to the existing hole. You could also weld an extension to the other rear leg to meet the bolt hole. Also you have make the inner front leg holes wider to accommodate your factory bolts.

With this you can keep the electric seat tracks!

I got mine for 50 bucks too! Did you go to a junkyard that allows you to pull them yourself?

 

Oh yeah by the way how tall are you? I'm 6'2". The explorer seats don't angle at the head rest like ranger seats do (they can't lean back as far because the top hits the back window too soon) so I had to take off the seat covers and torch the seat frame to bend it so I could lean the seat back far enough to be comfortable. And the 98up rangers have like 4" more cab depth.

A buddy has a 97 w/ expo seats. The previous owner did a hack job and he can't move his seats back either. I dunno if he has expo tracks or ranger tracks though.

 

yea i went to a pick a part and just took them out of the explorer they had like 3 or 4 with leather seats these were the best set and i didnt keep the tracks i just unbolted the seat from them cause im gonna get a 60/40 track from a single cab ranger

so i got some 96 single cab 60/40 seat tracks and they dont quite match my floor on my truck but my cousin is gonna help me install them with minor modding so they should work

 

Man, what a steal! I have been wanting to do that also but don't have the funds right now and seats are becoming scarce around here (Austin, TX area). Post up some pics when you get them installed!

 

Did you accidentally pick up extended cab 60/40 brackets?
