how hard would it be

to paint this the same color as the truck except ranger or ranger and leave the rest black???

Pretty easy. You can tape the Ranger part off with some painters tape and a exacto knife. Or take chap stick and rub it on the top of the Ranger part and wipe it off when your done painting.

ok now my next question what kind of paint to use and any idea how i can get a rattle can same color as the truck i have touch up paint but thats alot of paint to use

Easy to paint, hard to keep painted. With use the paint will come right off of there in no time.

you will need some adhesion promoter for that plastic.

Yeah I painted mine a while back. The paint doesn't last long before it chips off.

so would i just be wasting my money and time to paint it? i dont ever step on it just the door hits it im guessing?

that the paint i was thinkin of using if i could figure out some way to get it the same color as the truck

just use some duplicolor adhesion promoter then the dupilcolor match to the truck then some duplicolor clear coat

I used chrome tape on mine a year ago and it is still fine.
