Rubber floor cover

I saw a ranger that didnt have carpet on the floor it had a rubber liner. He took out the seats and took out the carpet then put in tis pre molded rubber liner. Does any body know a brand or a place to get this?

Order an edge floor cover from the dealer, I believe the edges did not come with carpet.

XL, EDGE and the 2006 Level II models all have rubber floors of one type or another
check out junk yards or get one from Ford or a Ford parts wholesaler

Retail is about $95 for a 2002 Edge Supercab floor, assuming that your dealer uses Ford's suggested price. To get one for your truck, just order one for a different model that came with it that year. The dealer should be able to help figure it out. Be sure to match the cab style and year, if possible. Also, pay attention to the transmission type - the floor may be different for auto and manual. I think that a 99 XL or a 2001~2003 Edge regular cab floor should go right into your 1999 RC but you need to confirm that. IMO, the Edge floor has a better pattern and looks nicer.

Installation would require removing the seats, plastic sill trim, kick panel trim and the trim that meets the floor behind the seats. Probably need to unbolt the floor mounted seat belts, too. With a manual trans, the bezel and boot would need to come up. There are also cupholders and floor consoles to consider on some models.

Some possible pitfalls to avoid:

2004~2006 floors will not fit in 1998~2003 because the cutout for the kick panel is larger on the pass side and would leave a gap.

1997-back cabs are shorter than 1998-on, so floors from these year ranges are probably not interchangeable.

2-door supercab floors are different from 4-door supercab floors.

Find out from the counter guy what the original application is for each. The XL Rangers have a floor with a very slight texture to it, the Edges have a block pattern that is supposed to offer better traction. I would get the Edge version. In fact, that's what I did.

I WISH I didn't have carpet....I work in construction, so it's all trashed. Little brother has an XL and I love his rubber floor.

I have to agree. When I first got my EDGE i thought i had been ripped but i was wrong, much easier to deal with than carpet. Only problem is not as much noise dampening............................... easy as hell to clean.
