Screwed up my dash! Little help?
Screwed up my dash! Little help?
I set a computer carrier (yes, I'm a computer consultant) in my passenger seat and didn't realize it was rubbing on the dash. It rubbed some of the paint off and it looks like crap. It was only on the passenger side air bag panel, though. Is there any touch-up paint for these types of areas on the dash or is it better to just replace the panel altogether? I found a replacement on Ebay but I don't want to screw with the air bag unless I have to. I don't want to have it deploy and punch me in the face while I'm working on it. :) Any ideas? Thoughts? Suggestions? Jabs at me for not paying attention to the computer carrier? Thanks!
It's not too bad so it wouldn't need but a light touch-up in two places. One of the spots tore the RS off the SRS part. Which is total BS to me.
Do they make a touch-up paint that is the exact color of the vinyl? That's the big question I need answered. That and where to get it.

just get a new cover. turn the switch off for the airbag. pull off the negative and positive battery terminals. wait 30 minutes. then get a smaller flat head and pop the panel off and install the new one. the airbag will not deploy. problem solved.
