Icon5 seat springs - 2000 Ranger

my 2000 xlt has broken seat springs in the back of the drivers side seat. have not tried to remove the seat cover or anything as of yet. found a parts truck but its drivers side springs are broken too. like mine - the passenger side appears ok. can the passenger side seat springs be used on the drivers side ? also how do you remove the backs and seat cover ? thanks...

I do know that the 2003 ranger passenger bucket seat bases are the same as the drivers side bucket seats bases. Holes on both sides so either side can use it.
The padding, the base coverslip and seat pans are the same for both sides.

On the backs, other than a specific part designated for driver or passenger sides then most parts should swap, like springs and other small parts.

Here is my qualifier... Other than swapping out seats in my 2003 ranger I do not know for sure about specific year changes.

Good Luck, I would check it out.

98-03 seat backs do not have "springs". there are two metal bars that run top to bottom and are welded in. always break as there is no other support in the seats. you can use a passenger back frame, foam and cover on the driver side. both sides are the same.
