Well, I've been slacking for long enough. I got rid of the factory bedliner and put a roll-in on the bed and on the inside of the tonneau cover since it was white. As soon as it dries I'm putting two seperate subwoofer boxes in the bed and I shall take pictures. I bought a 1000w Kenwood amplifier and I must say it is awesome. I have it turned halfway up and I don't need it any louder which says a lot coming from me. Now I can annoy the old people of Florida again...

 

Here's the pictures. All I have to do is move one subwoofer back but there was a wet spot of bedliner behind it where I had to touch up. I did learn not to play your music loud in the garage or it will blow out the flourescent lights.







And the dome light install from a couple of weeks ago:

 

do you have them secured in the bed somehow? and are you going to do a blow through?

 

so enlighten me on why you have your subs in the bed? that is pointless unless your gonna do a blowthrew. move them in your back seat. and your gain on the amp turned up halfway, THAT IS NOT A VOLUME ****! the way to adjust that is to turn the radio up to your loudest normal listening level and turn the gain up till the speakers distort then back off until they dont and turn just a lil more down and all is good. god people wonder why they blow there subs.

 

Well, good luck on fitting two 12's in a standard cab truck. I don't need the bass for myself since I have plenty in the cab, I use it to annoy the others at concerts and stuff when we are outside. They are in the bed with velcro actually which works just fine with the non-skid crap.

 

Not exactly a high fidelity setup, lol -- but the mods to the truck look good.

 

And where the hell did the rant about how to adjust an amp come from? I believe I'm perfectly capable of anything that goes in my truck.

 

being an installer i am just educating people. i could very easily fit 2 12s in a standard cab, i have fit, 3 10's, 8 8's, 1 12 ported, 2 10's ported. its all in the fiberglass, 3 layers of 17oz woven biaxal, with some rope or dowels on the panels saves alot of room.

 

Alright, making sure you weren't thinking I was some stupid 16 year old or something. I've never fiberglassed although I totally thought about doing it but have since decided against making more work then it's worth. If my seat isn't fully back and all I have no purpose for my truck anymore.
