Sick and tired of not being able to see inside the cab at night!!!!

Well, after buying the truck in February this year and not being able to fix the door switches or circuits (I cannot get 12v from the light socket anymore with the doors open...), I decided to buy some lights. I bought 10-24" white LED strips (4 for under -hood lights, 4 for the cab, and 2 extra), 4-12" green led strips (night-vision friendly lights), 2 switches and relays (one for the green cab lights and one for the under-hood lights), and an Autometer LED dimmer.

My plan is to get the door circuit working again, and put the 4 white cab strips on that circuit. Put the 4 green strips on a relay/switch, and the under-hood lights on a relay/switch. Wire the dimmer to the green cab lights.

Questions:

What wire(s) from the GEM am I looking for on the door/light circuit?

Would there be a problem with the difference between the old bulb and the new LEDs? Would I need to wire a resistor in the circuit?

Will it damage the dimmer to have a relay in the circuit? I'm guessing not, but not sure....

I'm pretty sure that's it for now...

Any concerns?
