I'm getting Sirius Sportster 5 for my birthday in Jan. I'm looking for some place to install it. Right now I'm thinking of making a mount or bracket that attaches to the left side of the radio bezel and somewhere else. I've never tired fiberglassing anything but I'm thinking this might be a good project to start. I don't want to cutup or make holes in the factory dash so I'm hoping I can attach it using existing screws.

Any pics of your setups or ideas are welcome.

 

take out the ashtray and make a bracket to mount it in there wheni get a ranger in my bay i usually put in there

 

Crutchfield sells vehicle specific brackets for vehicles, including Rangers. They mount in a manner so as not to damage the interior, as in when you sell it, there is no damage accrued from the installation. I think they are about $35 if it's worth that to you. If you can't find them, I'll round up a link for you. It's Pro-"______", but I can't remember the name right now after 3 Magic Hat Circus Boy's and 2 Sierra Nevada Pale Ale's.

I used strong velcro and put it right next to the a pillar so you can run the excess wire and stuff under the steering wheel and thru the fuse box and out on the roof looks great imo.

 

best buy sells that bracket for 20 bucks that mounts it next to the radio the ones you guys are saying you paid 30 bucks for...Its made by bracketron and fits perfectly in fords
