Explorer Seat Issues

Explorer Seat Issues
Alright guys, kinda new here to modding my daily driver a bit. I have a 94 Ranger regular cab. When I bought it, it had a beat up interior with a bench seat. I went to the junkyard and pulled a console and 2 buckets out of a 93 Explorer and put in it. Swapped tracks, and everything worked fine. However these seats made my truck have a funky smell being from a junkyard and I decided I'd try out a pair of leather seats this time.
So I go the junkyard, and low and behold tons of Explorers. One of the good things from cash for clunkers. Found a nice dark gray set in a 99 Explorer. Power, heated, no rips, or stains. Yank them out and take them home. Me, not worrying about the hassle of power seats decided to trade tracks off the explorer seats onto my ranger tracks I had. Everything bolted right up.
However, I put them in the truck and they sit higher than my previous seats. I mean these things when I sit in them I look out the blue portion of the windshield and my head is rubbing the roof.
Is there anyway to mod the tracks to lower them, or should I just take the tracks off? Or would the factory Explorer tracks work better? Of course then I would be screwed into having to hook up the power seat in order to bring them all the way back and down.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Nick

since these seats have heat and all the fancy stuff, don't they have the powered seat adjustment?
I owned a 1997 ford explorer xlt with power seats (no heat) and they would adjust quite low. I used to have the height maxed out for a comfortable ride. i'm 5'10-5'11.
I don't know if you hooked up the power seat controls or not, but if you did I couldn't see why they would be too high... I don't think a ranger and an explorer really have a different amount of head room.... thats why I liked the ranger when i bought it. it was the explorer with a bed.
