Subs w/ BOTH working jump seats..?

Anyone find a way to do it? I have an Alpine Type R 10" Sub behind my drivers seat with a basic enclosr box and mono amp and i want to be able to fit people 4 people in my truck. Im thinking of doing 1 or two options.

1) I want to do the Bench seat to Bucket Seats mod, so im thinking ill build a custom center consol, ill build a custom eclosure box comming out of the back of the center consol, facing the back wall. It would make the open space inside the box super small but it would work.

2) Id really like to have 2 subs. Im thinking of taking out the jump seats and building a custom enclosure box that fits 2 subs (one under where each jump seat would be, and then building it with enough bracing to ontop of to sit on. Then taking the jump seat covers off and mounting them to the top of the box so you can sit on the box, it should only be a few inches higher. It would have an open space for your feet (you would still have to face eachother in the back : / and the seatbelts back there would still work.

NEED INPUT!

Here's some pix of what i want to do.

1) The custom console

I think the console idea is your best bet.

Also isnt there a thunderform or q-logic box that allows for the jumpseats to fold down?

Already got ya beat...

Ignore the extra carpet on the top of the box..

I am getting a JL 10w3v3, and i'll be building a new box here soon for it too. I might sell this box and sub to a fellow ranger owner...

ya, there is a downfire box I believe that lets you utilize both your jump seats, but it is pretty pricey. I would still go with the center console idea though. I think that would be both unique and somewhat effective if you could somehow do it.

Yea, very pricey. Little 10's with a small internal amp but it surprises me how hard they hit for 10's.

I did something like you're planning on doing, its now in Ben's (Ranger1) truck. I t worked well, and I was still able to fit 4 people without much of a problem. It was only a single box, but you could've included one on the other side if you wanted to.

I've still got the dimensions on it if you'd like them.

Haha, thanks guys. How much was that box Mark? Or how much would u sell yours for? It goes back into the hole where the jack is mounted in the cab right?

The only reason I wouldnt want to do the center console one is because Id have to get it fiberglassed, since its such an odd shape, but i think it would look great. I still want to have two tho, instead of just one. Im probly going to do both when it comes down to it, Ill build those two boxes in the back and then when i get more cash to mess around with, ill try the center console one and ill post the pix on here.

winks can u send me those dimensions? I think your box is too shallow for my Alpines, they pretty deep in mine and i have a big box right now.

Pull the jump seats out. build a box someone can sit on. Use some cushions or something from a craft store.

I just remove my box if I need to carry a passenger. It's a super cab, not a crew cab. I've had 6 guys crammed in my Ranger before...not fun!! LOL

I like the center console idea, but you'll see that once you start to measure, there isn't that much room to build. I seen guys put boxes under the jump seats, but the leg room for just 1 person back there is greatly reduced. Subs and passengers in our supercab Rangers don't add up.
