Yes.

Alpine and Pioneer are the top, I wouldn't go with anything else. Kenwood has great double dins as well but for single dins I like the sleekness of Pioneer. Alpine is great, I'm just not a fan of all the buttons.

from what i could find online, it will read the larger ones also, but you have to format them differently, and there can't be any partitions

I just installed a new Kenwood KDC-X993 this last weekend (3 days ago) and so far I wish I would have gone with another Pioneer... (my last Pioneer deck went nearly 6 years with no trouble and I just left it in the car when I sold it). It *is* sleek and it *is* very adjustable, I just don't like it nearly as much as I thought I would.

Anyway, here's a picture of it installed:

I have this one w bluetooth, works awsome. Can pair your phone to it, zune using bluetooth, any usb source including ipods, 3.5mm imputs i.e. sat radio and HD radio imputs.

Several RCA outputs too for subs and amps, running two 10's off it sounds great

Mine is a bit old, but this is what it looks like:
Clarion DXZ835MP

You can change the LCD and illuminated buttons to 700+ colors. Nearly all Clarions will do this now. My Grand Prix had red gauges, so the picture is how I ran it. Since the Ranger has green gauges, I changed it to green. It will read CD-RW discs and MP3 files...HOURS of music. It has six 4v RCA outs. it is an older model, but one of the best. Not too gaudy...just right.

Anybody have or heard of "Valor" double dins?

I've heard good things about them, and one of friends (who's pretty good with audio) says for the money its a good buy.

Sorry for getting defensive, I hadn't even seen those reviews. I bet the reviews on the other site are just set up.

I really want a double din, I just don't want to spend a ton of money.
