It rained hard for about 1 1/2 days straight. Passenger floormat was filled with about 10 oz. of water. Drivers door had water in it. Pulled plugs at bottom of interior door to drain it. Absolutely no damp spots anywhere else in the interior.....2nd rainstorm was for a day, and only the floormat had a few ounces of water ....Door seals look like new.... anybody had similar ???

I had that forever and for me it was the windshield. Either it would drip down from the headliner, or it would run all the way down the firewall and soak the floor. I would get tons of water and it took 7!!!! trips to the glass shop to get it fixed, thankfully it didn't cost me anything.

 

That must have sucked. At least yours is good now. I'm thinking it might come from where the foot heater vent is ?
By the way , your truck is sweet. Back in the day, we built an '84 shortbed 2wd with the entire drivetrain from an '85 Mustang GT 5.0L 5-spd. tri-y headers etc...little effer hauled butt. But not nice like your ride. Thanks.

 

I had a similar problem with my '96 turned out to be the door seal. The seals looked real good on mine too. Mine was leaking on the lower part at the front of the door seal. The adhesive had stopped adhesing and water was flowing behind the rubber into the driver side foot well, was a real buggar to track down but some silicone sealant/glue fixed the problem.

 

Your door should drain on its own. There are holes in the bottom. I would make sure the drain for the a/c box is connected properly. To find the leak you can dry everything up and get a hose and run it all over the truck. Then look all over the inside and see if you can find water dripping in. I do it at work all the time and eventually find the leaks. Water leaks suck.

 

It's raining again and snowing ! I will have to check the seals thoroughly tomorrow. Got my silicone in hand . Go figure , an '05 w/ 30k and it leaks !
