so you getting it from Wayne?

when i got my paint to paint my piller i actually took out my ash tray and had the paint store match it. they added a little flatter in it to not make it shiny also like the dash pieces it turned out great. i actually think Wayne has my pod pic on his web site lol hold on

Sweet, I'm thinking about trying to fiberglass it into the A-pillar so it looks smooth and everything.

Fiberglass the pod to the A pillar trim as one piece to make it all smooth looking. Then afterwards when if it needs servicing, pull off the entire A pillar to access guages. Add a few disconnects to wires and leave a little slack in wires to get to the disconnects. Will look nice and you can get to gauges/wiring, etc.

You have to pull the gauge pod to take the a-pillar off though. I'll have to find someother way to secure the bottom. I'll play with it some. I think D. fiberglassed his into his pillar.

I talked to him a while back and he only carried the light grey. And he was looking to find a matching dark grey of the like 00 and newer rangers.

theres a definitely color difference between the grey dash in my 98 and the dash in my 07.

99 they made the switch to the darker one.

since my name is mentioned- VHT discontinued the FORD grey which was either lighter or darker depending on your year model. I bought one can of every Mustang grey made. These are custom batches from a large mustang parts store.

Comparing a 2004+ interior, the closest that came up was Smoke Grey for the 1987-1989 Mustangs.

The next closest (and a little lighter) is 1993 Opal Grey.

I need to find out when the colors changed on the Rangers. The two I mentioned above should cover either Ranger scenario and match closer than the VHT did.

I hope that helps a little. The next step is trying to find a current VHT that matches. Between Honda Grey, Toyota Grey, etc, etc.
