Worked on my full-length console a bit

Anyways, the console I installed still had the vents from the Explorer. I didn't know what to do to remove and voer them up, so I ended up getting a plastic passenger side boot from a 96 Explorer and cutting a piece of plastic out of it to fit in the back of the console. I used Quik Steel to try and seal it in. I realize after painting it doesn't look great, but it's better than having the random vents. This is a pic of it with the cup holders removed.

I agree, you dont need some vents that dont work. Here is what I did with mine:

Just some fiberglass and tweed.

I've never glassed and never tweeded, so I use plastic and epoxy. Your's looks a thousand times better BTW :)

Why didn't you guys make some type of heating source lol. I dunno, i could see some tubing run from somewhere, oh what the heck, covering it looks fine too.

I am never in the back of my truck so it doesn't bother me that my air vents are still there.

I covered mine up with tweed, it looks OK but I have to redo it.
