Its public property, what gives you the right to destroy it since you dont own it?

Thats like saying you own a driveway that you never use or park on and a cop shows up and decides to do a burnout on it and leave some patches, what gives him the right to do that?

You guys should of been ticketed for destruction of public property in my book, maybe that will teach you guys to go to places you actually have permission to offroad and tear it up on.

Just a question. Why does everyone have to be so damn politically correct about things?

If you've never done anything illegal then criticize away. But we all know that's not the case!!!

SUCH a teen/immature answer you just gave Katie.

The city bought the land but doesn't want to do anything with it because of the lakes and uneven land. So they just left it.

I'm glad you know everything.
And if a cop did a burn out in my driveway, I would laugh.

Look. You obviously have nothing to do but to start another fight with me. This thread will not be deleted because you and Mark turned it into 8pages of BS.

Go take your pissing match somewhere else.

Us, wait till the other members who strictly believe on offroading on privately owned land rather than tearing up public land.

lol, when I was 17 me and a few of my buddies got 12 hours of community service for criminal mischief when we were off roading on a private road and used our own tools and judgement to get by the fence telling us so

If I read your post when I was 17 I'd totally agree with you! but now that I'm 22 I've learned a few things and I hope you realize there's many other places to wheel legally.

Going out of the way to call the cops? If you knew the property wasn't yours then you really can't complain about the cops. You make big boy decisions be ready for the big boy consequences.

I'm not tryin to call you out, just telling you from my personal experience you will look back at stuff like this and realize it's immature.

Im not saying I know everything, its just common courtesy and sense not to destroy public land.

It just shows that you have no respect for stuff obviously by the way you treat your truck and destroy public property

I had a little mishap back in teh day when i was about...oh....17. wheelin' on forestry land illegally. 12hrs community service. Legal wheeling requires a ORV decal here...just wondering if theres the same deal down there in FL. that's all.

Katie, sell your truck. You don't wheel. You get stuck. If you knew anything you would know that you SHOULD have off road permits and **** when you wheel and wheel in designated areas... Not some public land that you like to call a mud pit for you to get stuck in all the time.

I've never heard of one, I wheel public land all the time, never seen or heard of it. I guess it might be for like a orv park?, like the Tellico trail system or something but I've never had one, then again I've never been to a orv park. Down here most of the WMA's have good wheeling, and it's allowed as long as you stay on the trails they say too.

"I wish people would realize that in different regions of the country you have different terrains. With that said, not many "offroad" parks exist in Florida, as we don't have much more than sand and mud. If you have any concept of this then you would realize and you have never posted what you did. We live in a mud hole, it's called florida, there are power line roads with no gates, tons of swamp land, I'm sure you've never seen other than national geograpic, and sand. When it rains, it gets muddy and that's what we do. I don't offroad, I go muddin, just like everyone else in the state."

When I get stuck in the mud, it's up to the axles and my tires are caked and have no traction, I don't own a winch because what could I hook up to? one of the thousands of little palm frawns that are as weak as twigs? You have trees, boulders, rocks etc to grab onto. We don't use spotters down here either, if you see a spotter in the mud, more than likely he's legs are stuck and is waiving his hands to have someone pull him out. That's why you see sometimes 2-3 trucks hooked up in a series to pull one person out, it's mud and hard to get traction. When you come to Florida give me a call and we'll go muddin, until then, stick to giving advice on what you know.

2 things.

Wheeling in the mud and sand leaves even the most capable trucks stuck. I could bring you out to some spots that I garuntee your truck would not make it through. Bring big foot for all I care. We will get it stuck. I am in Jersey. I know there is more mud and sand in Florida.

Wheeling on unapproved land is not cool. Destroying property that you are not supposed to be on is part of the reason there is becoming less and less areas to wheel. The phrase Tread Lightly should be taken seriously. Leave nothing behind but your tire tracks. Don't go out onto land you don't have permission to go on. Then people who don't have anything better to do with their time won't: 1 call the police, 2 petition the local or state government to make it illegal to wheel. Just take care of what is there so the next person that comes through can use it just the same.

Well said Bryan.

To the "Other FL member"... go stick it where the sun don't shine for all I care.
