PNW New Years 2011 Upgrades
This weekend was pretty busy, Especially for Dan (Fourliter Dan) and I.
It started with Rob sending me an email, with a link to a craigslist ad. Dan and I drove up to battleground thursday night to pick up these.
One 06 XL Valence, 2 Fog Lights, 2 06 Corners, 2 tow-hooks, and 1 Driver Side 06+ Power mirror.

we were going to wait till Saturday to start working, but as anyone with new toys, we just had to install it. So, Thursday at midnight, we started working on his truck.

Test fitting the fogs, proved that the mounting brackets were broken.

While Dan was dicking around with the fogs, I was soldering and shrinktubing a new fog-light harness on.

We then bolted on the new bumper (for the first of a few times) and put the fog-light hole covers in till we could figure out a way to get them mounted.

After that, we threw the un-modded 06 corners in for ***** and giggles. The chrome looked so out of place, we didn't even take pictures of it. (That I know of)
Fast forward through Friday, and a few drinks, people arguing, girls making more drama than ever, 3 bottles of Diet coke, and a couple packages of Mento's, Tossing a nerf football around, a very interesting game of apples to apples, and some damn good food.
Saturday morning. While everyone else was hung-over, Me, Dan, and Rob went to the store for painting supplies, and started working.
prepping the 06 Corners

Pulling Grill off and prepping for paint

paint.

Halfway done.

At about this point, Rob and I fixed the massive bumper gap on his truck. Looks a million times better now!
We got everything put all back together, and tested out the lighting.

.

Sunday morning, Shane and Carl met Dan and I at my place in Tigard, and Carl bought my toolbox off of me, and mounted it. Shane and Dan swapped rear bumpers.

Carl was complaining about some play in the steering, and Dan rocked his tire a little just for kicks, and discovered that all of his front u-bolts were loose. one nut was about to fall off. Needless to say, those got tightened.

You have no idea how huge and beefy this truck is until you've seen it. I'm 6'3, taking this picture fairly level. His stinger is up at my chin.

Dan saw my little brother riding this thing around, and bet me that I couldnt ride it. I very quickly proved him wrong
(not often that happens lmfao)

Dan mounted the DSG bumper on his truck, and that was the finale to the weekend.

I know rob has some more pictures, and it would be very nice if I could convince him to post them... haha.
