That farmer is going to kick your ass.

Nice pics.

EDIT - LMAO @ the crowd: http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g1...durrrty010.jpg

crazymikey 03-21-2009 05:43 PM

lol, the spot in the photos belongs to one of the guys we were wheeling with.

The original place that we were at, yes the farmer and the police were about ready to kick our asses.

chainfire 03-21-2009 05:51 PM

NICE!!! that looks like a good time to me. Looks like those Coopers worked really well. Out here if a farmer caught you, you would probably be shot at.

So I take it everything is thawing out? Nice gooey mud!

Blackonblackfx4 03-21-2009 05:54 PM

Yellow FX4 need tires

haha yeah it was fun. Spent a good 5 hours out wheeling. The Coopers are fantastic, they just paddle through everything. Mud for those things is as easy as driving on dry pavement lol.

It was cool today, about 5 degrees. The mud was cold and hard, but warmed up and thawed a little and got really gooey and nasty. I love mud like that.

seed60 03-21-2009 06:10 PM

Hot sauce!!

Trigger01 03-21-2009 06:33 PM

Rolldogg 03-21-2009 06:41 PM

Yeah yeah!!! Looks like fun.

I already see an issue with your recovery techniques. DON'T EVER USE A BALL ON A HITCH! Get a D-ring, and use that instead.

Nice pictures though.

ive seen this posted numerous times and my argument is that if your ball is going to fly off and hit the window of what youre pulling out, you sure are hell shouldnt tow a trailer with it either

Lazler 03-21-2009 07:22 PM

^^ i partially agree but trucks weight a hell of a lot more then a trailer.. and trailers put pressure on the top of the ball (circle part) tow straps put all the pressure below the circle which some cases leads to shearing off at the threads.

There is a difference between progressively accelerating with a trailer (exerting only the trailers rolling resistance of accelerating and braking forces on the ball) and taking a run using momentum to create a force 3+ times the weight of the trucks in an instantaneous yank.

A ball and D ring are also usually forged differently, causing different reactions when exerted by different speeds of force.

But of course I'm sure you knew all this.

That looks like fun, first time I've seen your truck that muddy Mike! Did you go through that hole too? Looks like a quick way to a flooded interior. Frickin' deep!

Ranger_Guy15 03-21-2009 09:26 PM

Nice pics! Truck looks great. Cant believe those tires are only 31', they look like 32's.

haha sure looks pretty doesnt it? I went through that bilg hole about 4 times before Dan tore it all up and it got too deep. No water in either of our interiors either, even though it was deeper than the rockers.

Our friend with a Cherokee was not so lucky in keeping water out though lol.
