i just noticed that even though NC is well represented here on R/F, we dont have our own thread (or not that i could find). so i thought id make one.


im originally from raleigh, off of rock service station road by hwy 42. about 5 minutes from the johnston county line. moved from there to greensboro a few years back, and im going to be at uncc for the next several years.

ah, nm.
just got back from VA the other day, we picked out a spot to go camping this week/weekend. nice place waaayy back in a holler, has a mid 1800s cabin with a spring well and wood burning stove. already scouted up the mountain for some deer trails, gonna sit up there and see what comes along.

 

Did you just find a place in the woods or do you have land up there?

 

oh, its a friend of ours land, a guy my dad works with. we were gonna go to jefferson ntl forest, but... there will be less ppl at this place and it has real shelter if we need it
ill post some pics when i get back, but that will be a week from now most likely lol

Hey I've been to Jefferson NF before, butts right up to Grayson Highlands and Mt Rogers. Beautiful place

and yeah, i love the mountains around the VA/NC border.

now that i have the ranger im actually going slow enough around the turns to appreciate them lol

either mechanical engineering or architecture, havnt decided yet
still undeclared major though. campus is large enough ppl wise, and its laid out well, and its charlotte... ive never been in a big city before lol.

haa, ncsu. that was my school man, but they are a bit more expensive lol. and bigger.
honestly, they waitlisted me...
uncc didnt, and i wanted to be somewhere new where i didnt know anyone really. i needed a fresh start, thats why i didnt go to ECU

 

aah..honestly man, I went to community college for 2 years, saved a bunch of money, got the same credit and am now at NCSU and loving it.

 

yeah... i could have done that too i guess. idk.
what are you studying?

 

Agricultural and Environmental Technology w/ minor in Ag Business...its a mouthful

 

That's what I should've done I think I'd like to experience a big school. I ended up getting a good job out of community college and said screw more school. For the best though, I probably would've partied myself into a grave at a big school. lol
