Minnesota Meet! Late July!

Where: Meet at this location Clicky!. On the Northwest corner of the inter change there is a park and ride. Park on the street and wait. From there we will convoy up to the Gandy Dancer Trail. If you wish to meet us on the way let me know.

When: Sunday July 26th at 10:30 am at the park and ride.

Who:

Machine090767
Ranger Guy 15
INT3RC3PTOR
NicAlm47

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So after the new guy joined we are all talking about a meet. Lets get something together. I know half of us are going to the dunes, but we should get something local together.

We could hit up the Gandy Dancer trail. Its about 1.5 to 2 hours north. Near Hinkley. EDIT: No permit is needed for the Gandy Dancer trail.

We could go to porkys and just hang out.

There has to be other stuff to do around the cities here.

Pretty much any day works for me as long as I have a couple days notice. I think I may hit up the Gandy dancer trail on my own here in a couple weeks. Just for something to do.

What do you guys want to do?

Right here:
columbus MN - Google Maps

On the northwest corner of the interchange there is a park and ride. Meet there at say 10:30am?

I think I may head up there on Thursday to check it out. Just for the fact that I have nothing better to do on Thursday.

Hate to burst your bubble but that park and ride is closed, The next one is the Wyoming exit about 5 miles up. That one is opened and maintained.

I noticed that when I drove by yesterday. There are barricades up, but I was hoping everyone would be smart enough to just park on the side of the dead end road and wait.

Or we could meet at the BP just across the street from the park and ride.

You will need to bring the title of your truck when you go and get the registration.

Minnesota sucks for this. In Michigan you can get the permit at any place that sells hunting and fishing licenses.

EDIT: You do not need a permit for the Gandy Dancer trail.

Honestly that trail was nothing exciting. I really wouldn't feel too bad if we didn't have a meet up there. It was basically just a dirt road linking two state forests. I think we should just do a meet at that drive in and then head up to gilbert at the end of august.

Oh and you do not need a ORV registration to go on the gandy dancer trail.

So basically I dont really want to go to the gandy dancer trail anymore.

Im really thinking, as long as I can get one other person to go, I want to go up to gillbert the last weekend in August. The weekend before would work, but its my 21st b-day and you would all have to buy me some drinks. lol

Appleton would work too.

Appleton is about 3.5 hours straight west and gilbert is about 3.5 hours straight north. Gilbert is 1200 arces and Appleton is only 330 acres. Gilbert looks to have alot more trails for only ORV's and alot of shared trails.

Heres some links:

Appleton: Clicky
Gilbert: Clicky
