i'm still going to be there. its only an hour away so im there once or twice a month.

 

Matt, Aaron and myself will be arriving late Wednesday night. Probably between 10 and 11 pm.

oh ok, well I'll probably see you guys late morning then. I'm going to try and leave here really early morning so I can get there and get setup and go out with you guys at a decent time. Did I read that check in isnt until like 2pm? if so wtf do I do if i show up way earlier than that? also when do you guy usually head to the dunes? and when do you come off

 

Its a solid 11 hour drive both ways, so unless you are leaving before 2 am I dont think you will really have a problem. Theres a time zone change in there too. They may let you check in earlier if the site is available. If not you can take the trailer to the dunes directly and drop the Ranger in the parking lot and then check in later. Honestly I would leave right at 4 am. Any earlier or later you risk getting stuck in rush hour in chicago. You have my number give me a call when you get off of US-31 and we will come meet you.

Remember to bring cash for tolls. I priced it out and it looks like $12 each way for tolls with 3-4 axles.


The camp ground is 2 miles from the dunes. We leave in the morning when everyone is up and ready to go. We come back when we feel like it, or when ever Rob's distributor gives out. lol. They open at 9am and close at 10, with the last vehicles allowed in at 8:30. I would highly suggest seeing at least one sunset over the dunes.

Naw he couldnt get his ladies to come, so hes not coming. I tried to talk him into it, but he wouldnt go for it.
