Took over 15 hours to get home. The camera isn't unpacked yet. I'll get them up tomorrow.

Yeah I pulled 18.5 MPG out of the truck, but it was almost 85 extra miles.

To answer the question "What do we have to lose?", 3 hours.

yeah, but I loved the roads (smooth) and I hate ****ing tolls and the big city. If you left earlier it wouldnt be too bad, nice change in scenery. I'm going to try and price out the ferry across with gas and see what I can find maybe.

The ferry is EXPENSIVE. Round trip for a person is $89. One way for the truck is $79 and then trailers are expensive too.

yeah But I spend almost $120 to get there so that coming back too. so If I only spend $80 in gas to get to the end of WI and back plus $150 round trip on the ferry I still come out better. plus I can relax on a ferry..it can all be weighed out

that was going up through the UP home. I got alot better mpg cause I was staying more in the 55-60mph range rather than 65-75mph I think. When I went down through chicago and up I spent alot more, close to $190 I'd say. I hit lots of traffic and road construction stop and go.

its a spendy trip for sure

yeah no doubt plus your truck sits even higher on the trailer than mine and that doesnt help much either.

its worth the trip once or twice a year for me. plus the off dune time with you guys is always pretty fun. Glad I made the trip

I spent $200 in gas for both ways. I only used around a tank and a half on the dunes. I made out pretty cheap.

I think next May I will be heading out there a couple days earlier. It goes way too fast. Camping is much cheaper in the spring anyways.

I would also like to get up to that state forest we passed and check out the trails up there.
